On the road again...
Funny how my intention is always to get to bed early to give my body rest but yet here I am sitting at my laptop at 11:31pm. I have to get up early tomorrow because I've got to get my car from my mechanic up in White Plains. I am truly grateful for the opportunity I have had these past three years driving for Uber, Lyft and Juno but it is wreaking absolute havoc on my dancer body. My hamstrings seize whenever I sit long term now, like at the movies or shows (or now). I always have to keep a tennis and/or pinky ball with me for acupressure release. My back with it's three herniations was already scolding me but now it has so much more to say and I do not have the time or desire to listen. I have faith that I will be able to relinquish my TLC license by the end of this year and get back on a path of making my living full time with my art once again.
Abdiel flies to LA tomorrow and I will meet him there next Thursday but this does not mean a break for me. The goal is to get my work out (including reviewing my ballroom technique) done in the morning before heading up to Westchester on the MetroNorth line to get my car so I can get a decent day of driving in. I do have to put my musical theater hat back on this weekend though and prepare for Prince Chen auditions. Don't worry, Darren! I am ready!!!
Unfortunately, my brain is spent to go along with my body and the update is not so thrilling. I just wanted to check in and mark that it is Friday and not only have I survived another week, but our Rumba is complete... only 4 dances to go!
